This first Tiffin Talk, 'Artistic Research Step I: Introduction to the Field' will focus on how to approach the whole subject of Artistic Research by drawing inspiration from the events in your own life, as a basis to design your research and art practice.
About the Speaker:
Professor William Ray Langenbach (PhD, MFA, BFA) is an Artist, Writer, Convenor, Archivist and Educator. His academic and art practice consist of conceptual performances, convening artistic gatherings and writing on performing arts, cultural theory and queer culture. Currently, he is the Chair of the Centre for Artistic Research (CFAR) at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) and is developing a PhD programme in Artistic Research for the university, that focuses on guiding creative practitioners in the arts to conduct practice-led research.
