CFAR seeks to facilitate and support the individual research of its
members, rather than emphasizing group activities, unless the gatherings are
initiated by members as part of their research. We consider research
to be the process of exploring the unknown. While it generally falls within the
cultural episteme (the horizon of possible knowledge), it is often found at the
margins of the memetic field (what is commonly recognized as knowledge or as
acceptable forms of presentation). Experimentation and the development of new
forms, technologies or creative methodologies is encouraged. CFAR supports all
experimental creative forms.
